ONLINE Fitness Theory Course - November 9 to 23
|
|
* Whole number only
|
Fitness Theory is the foundation of your fitness education and the first step toward CFES certification. This course introduces the essential concepts you'll continue to build on throughout your Group Fitness, Weight Training or Personal Training education.
You'll develop an understanding of how the body moves and responds to exercise while exploring anatomy and the muscular system, exercise physiology, training principles, cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, nutrition and healthy body composition. You'll also begin learning how these concepts come together when designing safe, effective and progressive exercise programs.
Rather than simply memorizing information, the goal of Fitness Theory is to help you understand the why behind exercise and training so you have a strong foundation to build on as you continue through your certification.
The CFES Fitness Theory Manual and Program Booklet (purchased directly from CFES) include chapter quizzes, activities, assignments and an open-book exam to reinforce your learning throughout the course.
Note: Classes are scheduled in Pacific Time and every class is recorded. Live attendance is recommended, but recordings are available if you are unable to attend a scheduled class. Students are expected to keep up with homework submissions and complete the open-book exam.
Location: Zoom.
